There are two places in our home where we replace the furnace/air filter, one on our first floor near our steps and one in the ceiling on our second floor. I usually check them every 30 days to see if they need to be changed. The one on our first floor usually gets changed every 30-45 days as you can see that it gets dirty. The filter on our second floor doesn't ever seem to get too dirty and so I keep that one in much longer. I was wondering if there is a reason why our downstairs filter gets much dirtier than the upstairs? Does that mean anything? Thank you for any information you can provide.
